Quetzal Die Schokoladenbar in Chemnitz

I've been there 2 times so far. The ice chocolate in summer was great! There is nothing more to say. It wasn't the hot spice chocolate in November. Either the saleswoman had forgotten an ingredient, in any case the drink was thinner and tasteless than the cocoa from the machine at the train station. For the price (€ 4.80) you can definitely expect more.

Great here. Can only recommend this bar. The staff (owners?) Are really very friendly. Since you are not allowed to sit in because of this lockdown light, he makes street sales. And you can still order sundaes of your choice and he tries to implement it as best as possible. It's worth a visit.

Very nice, fragrant ambience in the center. Sweet things with different types of chocolate. We were well served and looked after by the friendly, cheerful staff. We'd love to come back as soon as possible.

I've heard that they have really delicious hot chocolate here. But was really surprised where I was there. There are several types, from milk chocolate to 72% dark chocolate, with various extras such as spices, cocoa nibs, alcohol or whipped cream. Really delicious. If someone wants to eat something on the side, there is also something. I tried the brownies with extra chocolate. Of course, you can also choose which type of chocolate you want it with. The atmosphere is nice, soft music in the background. But what I would prefer to give a minimum of 7 points instead of 5 is the staff. Haven't met such nice, polite staff for a long time where you can tell they really do their work with heart and soul. I will definitely come by more often❤️.

I love cocoa and chocolate. So I thought visiting the Quetzal would be a good idea. Unfortunately, I wasn't happy here. I find it very positive, however, that every chocolate variant can be prepared with a milk alternative (almond, soy or oat drink) if desired. This is fantastic. ? Since I do not consume any additional sugar, I wanted to enjoy an unsweetened high-quality cocoa. In a café that is dedicated to cocoa and chocolate enjoyment, this shouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately yes. I was then recommended to choose the classic in dark chocolate (with a high cocoa content). There would be hardly any sugar in it. I got a soy drink with a dregs of completely sugar-coated, ready-made chocolate syrup ... probably from Belgian chocolate. That was disappointing. ☹️ I didn't drink the sugar pamps then. Too bad.

If you are looking for delicious chocolate, you will definitely find it in the Quetzal - the Chocolate Bar. Because of the high temperatures, I opted for ice chocolate (whole milk) and was thrilled. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Very nice owner, always looking after his guests. The chocolate is delicious. You can always choose between different types of chocolate and thus put together your perfect chocolate experience. We always like to come back here.

Pleasant and very cozy. 1 star less because the drink and the waffles didn't absolutely knock me off my feet. That is just a matter of opinion

One of the few cafés open on Monday evening. Huge selection, very nice owner and sustainable offer. Zotter chocolate is also sold ❤️ We will definitely be back.

The first German chocolate bar in the middle of Chemnitz. In the immediate vicinity of the Chemnitz shopping temple, it invites you to linger. The difference to bulk goods is the use of real chocolate in the preparation. A must for everyone who loves delicious drinking chocolate with different flavors from sweet to spicy! For everyone else: definitely try it!

Super tasty waffle, best hot chocolate !! ♥ I've been there more often. You just feel comfortable. Of course it's a bit alternative, but in a good way. Very pleasant. The staff is friendly and above all the boss just makes you laugh and smile. Gorgeous!

After we sat down the Lady behind the counter talked (quite openly) about me and my friend in a negativ and even racist manner. It made us feel very uncomfortable and made me quite angry. Would not recommend.

It was Tuesday evening and we didn't know if they would offer food a few minutes before closing time. She didn't say a word until we ordered food worth around 25 bucks. The food was given late and despite that, 5 minutes after delivering the order she stands next to us demanding us to finish the food. We were almost forced out of this place. Very rude behavior and never expected this. Cherry on top - Every single one of us experienced health issues the coming day. Would not recommend it.

Very nice offer but the payment is made in front. No table serving and the manager of the saloon is a bit aggressive.
